If you are looking for your secluded, quiet wooded, off=the-grid getaway you can find it here. This property is completely wooded and is accessed via a solid gravel road on nearly level terrain about a third of a mile back from Flynn Road. The property has been owned for long-term timber management for many decades, so the road supports log trucks and the forest looks great! The primary species here are hard maple, soft maple, black cherry, beech, hemlock, white pine and more. There are some mixed softwoods of red pine and Norway spruce here too, adding to the diversity that attracts wildlife of all kinds. Timber was last harvested in 2004 and there is a nice stocking in quality maple and cherry timber here now. With the diversity of cover types and food sources, there is ample evidence of deer and turkey throughout the tract. Numerous well-used deer trails, buck rubs and scrapes are not difficult to find. Scratching by turkey on the higher hardwood knobs is evident as well. Add to this diversity that Spring Brook flows through the property which adds a desirable water source for wildlife and a potential opportunity to fish for native brook trout. This brook is known for its brook trout and as it flows toward Cattaraugus Creek it is also known for catches of both native rainbow and brown trout. Public fishing access on this brook is about 5 miles west off Sullivan Road. Cattaraugus Creek is only about 6 miles away for excellent fishing as well. This is a great spot for an off-grid camp or a place to pull in your camper. Arcade is only about 10 miles from here and about 2 miles to Bliss for all the amenities. The property has a 50 foot wide right of way access from Flynn road on a good gravel road.
